Rubadiri is the lead singer/song writer of the Rapso group Chantwell who were part of the third wave of Rapso in the early 1990s.

Chantwell is known for its commitment to live-band music and musical fusion, combining Rapso with Rock, Funk, Jazz, and World Beat. Chantwell announced itself in 1993 with the radio and video hit 'Clear D Way'. They then were signed to the Rituals label . Singles from the EP 'Come Out in de Road, Warrior' are on over 30 compilations all over the world. In that first period the group was nominated twice for the Caribbean’s Sunshine Music Awards.

Chantwell toured England and Norway in 2003 with the 'Crossing Over' Tour that Rubadiri himself put together along with Sheldon Blackman- the son of Soca inventor Ras Shorty I. Rubadiri put his musical career on pause after this to pursue activism- but has returned to performing since 2017. In 2018 he began finally recording the follow up album to Warrior.
